Traekos’ Award Winning Website
The Traekos team came to us during an exciting time in the evolution of their business. They had just been selected to participate in a large government contract and were expecting to grow quickly. Their core customer base includes high level executives at large corporations, municipalities, and public and private institutions. So, when they got the good news about their contract, they looked inward and determined that one of their marketing assets needed major improvements – their website. It was small and outdated. It didn’t impress or include the spectrum of the services they provide. It didn’t appeal to their core audience.
Website Strategy and Planning
As the Agency Director, I’m not our client’s first line of communication. I like to describe my job as, “making sure everyone on my team has what they need to do THEIR jobs.” So, in my role, I was able to consult on every phase of this project. During the initial website planning, I work with the whole team while we listen to their needs and create our website design and development strategy. This phase is my favorite part of the process. I love to organize information and experiment with ways to streamline everything from the navigation flow to the words on the page.
Quick and Effective Web Development Process
Once we were confident that our plan would work, our designer created a simple and clean concept. The second the website loads, you’re greeted with the professional, sophisticated image Traekos wanted. She did an amazing job – as always – of choosing the right combination of colors, fonts, and imagery that perfectly complements the text. Our development and production team nailed the implementation and content migration. Throughout the process, our digital project manager kept everyone on task and on time. (Don’t mess with her. Seriously.) Once the new website was unveiled to the Traekos team, they were thrilled. So were we.
It’s OK to Brag Sometimes
Terrostar is constantly working on new projects – large and small. We’re a humble bunch and, until recently, we haven’t been submitting our work for awards. That’s kind of silly because we’re really good at what we do! (How’s that for humble?) Anyway, Traekos won a Silver from the Davey Awards in 2018. The Davey’s focus on small digital and creative shops like ours. We’re proud of all our work, but this is one of my personal favorites. Check it out!
